Speed Up Any WordPress Site (Even on cheap shared hosting)...

There a WordPress plugin called Super Simple Speed that can be downloaded from the WordPress repository. There's only 3,000 active installs so not a lot of people know about it. There's many cache plugins, but this one is different because it won't conflict with your site the way other plugins will. You simply upload, install, and active it.  I've seen sites go to 70 to 80 in Google PageSpeed just from using this plugin and other people have achieved much higher results.   Keep in mind every site is diffenent and there's variables to consider such as the theme you're using and how many other plugins you have on the site.

The Plugin Code Inspector...

There's a plugin in the WordPress repository that has less than 100 downloads (so not a lot of people know about it).  It's called "Plugin Inspector." This plugin goes through all your plugins files and looks for malicious code.  Link spammers will use base64 code/links to get backlinks to their sites without you knowing it.  Plugin inspector will go throught and scan your plugins for you and check them for malicious code.
